We didn't just build restaurants a website. We built them a booking system.
Eightish is Mensia’s own software product — an AI-native restaurant booking system that fills quiet nights and cuts no-shows. Same company, same team, same phone number. It just has its own front door.
What is Eightish? A restaurant booking system built in Lancashire for independent restaurants. It sends the text reminders that stop no-shows, runs tonight’s service on a live floor plan, and has an agent called Autopilot that spots a quiet night coming and fills it from the restaurant’s own regulars. It’s a product of Mensia Limited — same company, company number 17231746.
It came out of the work. We build websites for restaurants, and the same two problems kept surfacing on every call: tables that don’t turn up, and midweek nights that sit half empty. The booking platforms on the market either charge per cover, lock the guest list inside their own marketplace, or do the diary and nothing else. So we built the thing we kept wishing our clients had.
Six rooms of one house
Host stand
A live floor plan of tonight — table states, zones, walk-ins, waitlist, and no-show risks flagged before they happen.
Autopilot
The agent that watches the book, spots the quiet night and messages a handful of overdue regulars with a held table and a reason — then proves the covers it recovered.
Guest Graph
Every guest remembered by phone number: rhythms, preferences, no-show history — with PECR-proper consent handled properly rather than hopefully.
Booking widget
A mobile-first booking page with no diner accounts to create, returning-guest recognition and smart deposits where they're warranted.
Reminders
The texts that do the heavy lifting on no-shows — included in the plan rather than metered, so using them properly never costs more.
Reports
Your week in plain English: covers, no-show rate, recovered covers, and what the messaging actually cost.
Tonight, someone won't turn up.
The food’s bought, the server’s rostered and the walk-ins were turned away. No-shows are one of the biggest quiet costs in hospitality — and most restaurants have never worked out their own number.
Eightish exists to attack that, and the empty Wednesday that follows it. Flat monthly pricing, reminders included, and no per-cover fee — because a booking system shouldn’t take a slice of every table it was hired to fill.

Mensia is the agency: websites, local SEO, social, an AI receptionist and the business systems that run behind them. Eightish is the product we built out of that work, aimed squarely at independent restaurants.
If you’re a restaurant already working with us, the two join up — your booking widget sits inside the site we built, the reminders and the receptionist stop stepping on each other, and there’s one person to ring when something needs changing. If you’re not a Mensia client, that’s fine too: Eightish is self-serve, has a free plan, no setup fee, and doesn’t require a call with anyone.
Both run out of Lancashire, and both are Mensia Limited. Eightish grows outwards from the Fylde coast one 15-mile circle at a time, because a booking system is a relationship rather than a licence key — if your restaurant’s in Lancashire, the person who picks up the phone is up the road.
Common questions
Is Eightish part of Mensia?
Yes. Eightish is a product of Mensia Limited — built by the same team, on the same company number. It runs at eightish.co.uk with its own plans and its own sign-up.
Do I need to be a Mensia client to use it?
No. Eightish is self-serve and stands on its own — free plan, no setup fee, no sales call. Mensia clients just get it wired into their website and marketing at the same time.
What does it cost?
There’s a free forever plan, then flat monthly plans from £69 a month with reminders included and no per-cover fees. All current prices are on the Eightish pricing page.
Can it replace OpenTable or ResDiary?
That’s what it was built for. There are side-by-side comparisons against both, plus a switching guide, on the Eightish site.
I'm not a restaurant — can you build something like this for me?
Often, yes. Eightish is what happens when we build a system for one industry properly. If your business has a job that every off-the-shelf tool does badly, that’s a business systems conversation.
